The Loaf

This staple in baking is so very versatile. You can bake a different loaf nearly every week and almost never run out of recipes and ideas. Whether it pumpkin, zucchini, or banana – the loaf is a must when it comes to Fall baking. Our family favourite is usually banana, but sometimes we’ll stumble upon a tasty zucchini loaf recipe. Here is a selection of loaf varieties to tempt your taste buds!

Muffins

The loafs second cousin – the muffin – is just as flexible, but easier to eat! Whatever type of loaf you come upon, you can likely make into a muffin – or mini muffin – with ease. Browse the recipes below for the next time you bake.

Pie and Pastry

Another super versatile baked good is pastry. Pies and other pastries can be filled or stuffed with almost anything. Also, don’t heed the pressure of always making your pastry from scratch. Pillsbury Crescent Roll dough, as well as ready to use phyllo or puff pastry, can be transformed into an amazing sweet **or savory** treat and taste just as amazing. Check out these inspiring recipes below.

Tarts

These little beauties deserve a heading all to itself! Take the humble butter tart for example. So much can be done with a simple butter tart, that it’s almost shocking! Fill them with raisins, nuts, coconut, chocolate, or dried fruit. Plus, a butter tart dipped in chocolate is a delicacy all in itself! Take a look at these bite-size wonders.

Pumpkin & Apple

It’s kind of a rule of Fall baking that you have to incorporate one **or both** of these two Autumn favourites at some point or another. Nothing beats a classic warm apple crisp or flaky pumpkin scone! Again, the recipe possibilities are endless. Here’s some inspo.

Cookies

Let’s set aside the classic cookie varieties for a moment. Though the time-honoured chocolate chip cookie will always hold a place in our heart, the assortment of cookie types is even more broad than you think. Stuffed, layered, no-bake, sandwich, thumbprint, cookie bars – try something new this Fall – like these!

Cake & Cupcakes

There’s nothing like a rich and decadent cake or cupcake for dessert. Along with a cold glass of milk or warm cup of tea – whatever you’re into! Cake and cupcake recipes can be just as flexible as cookies, loafs, or pies. Just decide what you have a cankering for and go searching for the recipe that gets you what you’re craving. But, in Fall, nothing beats chocolate! Or coconut. Maybe pumpkin. No, carrot! You get the picture here – take a look below!
