Our Favourite Cookie Recipe

I love to bake for my family! My Gramma Gertie was my influence and I learned practically everything I know about baking from her.

Even though I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen, I really don’t have the knowledge to create my own recipes from scratch. I always work with an existing recipe and make my own variations from there.

One of the top requested (and devoured) treats in my house is the basic chocolate chip cookie. Nothing fancy. No nuts, berries, or candy added – just a simple and classic cookie.

Nearly twenty (holy shit, it’s been that long!) I bought a Nestle Tollhouse cookbook with nothing but treats. Cookies, squares, cake, bread – such a terrific collection of recipes!

You can tell from the condition of this page that I use this recipe often.

Well, the very first recipe in the book is the classic Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookie. This is what I bake at least twice a month! This cookie is my family’s favourite!

Even if you have a favourite, no-fail, passed-down-the-family-tree chocolate chip cookie recipe – I encourage you to give this easy and delicious recipe a try!
