Every season has its own beauty and perks. Summer, for example, is the time to hit the beach, go to a water park, and spend time at your cottage. However, Fall can be the most beautiful and inspiring time of year. Among the many reasons to enjoy this glorious season, here are a few of the best things about Fall.

Comfort Food
Everything kinda slows down in Autumn and that includes our meal prep. With cooling temperatures comes the desire for a home cooked (slow cooked) meal that warms you to the core. Make it a fun family event by cooking your fave meal together!
Series Premieres
Networks and television series creators leave us viewers hanging at the start of Summer. After an agonizing few months of wondering what has transpired in your binge-worthy show – it’s in Fall that we finally find out what the hell happened!
Check out these awesome printables for the whole family!
Baking
Personally, I find it too hot to bake during the summer months. But when the air gets a little cooler, we have fresh baking in our house nearly every week! Pumpkin muffins, caramel apple pie, cookies and squares aplenty … baking is my way of showing my family a little love!
Sweater Weather
It is so incredibly comforting putting on a warm and cozy sweater on a crisp morning in October. The transition from breezy dresses to warm knits is one of my fave parts of Fall!
Fall Colours
Nuff said! Just go for a drive in the countryside and soak in all the beautiful colours of Fall.
Hiking
Cooler temperatures make for more bearable weather to venture for a hike. Pack a little picnic lunch and enjoy some time outdoors before the dreaded s-n-o-w hits. Be sure to bring a camera to capture the beauty of the woods in Fall!
Crisp Autumn Air
Not that we need a reason to snuggle, but chilly toes and noses warrant getting a little close! Fuzzy blankets, cozy knits, and the warmth of a fireplace are so comforting and the crisp autumn air is one of the best things about fall.
Flannel Sheets
Late Fall is typically the time of year when your heavier bedding comes out of hiding – and that includes the soft flannel sheets. There’s something so refreshing about fresh sheets, but changing to flannel sheets when the weather permits is extra special.
Soup
Homemade soup, stew, broth, and even chili are some of the ultimate comforts of Fall! We usually make fresh biscuits or garlic bread to complete this kind of homey meal!
Fireplace
Whether you have a gas or wood burning fireplace – or still enjoy an occasional late season camp fire – the warmth of a fire is second to none.
